We were delighted to welcome Abhay to the team last month as our social media guru. Abhay is a multimedia designer and social media strategist with a research background in education ICT. He set up Dhyaan Design in 2003 and has since worked on a range of global web-based projects with private, public and voluntary sector organizations. Abhay delivers social media training to HE, FE and creative practitioners. He also lectures on themes such as digital audiences and enterprise development.
Over the coming months, Abhay will be working closely with the central communications team and in consultation with staff across SAS to develop social media skills and to assist in growing the School’s social media presence. During February, Abhay will complete an assessment of current social media activity across SAS, including qualitative and quantitative engagement, and identify areas of best practice. This assessment aims to assist with the streamlining of activity, the consolidation and increased cross-referencing across departments, and the development of a central social media communications strategy that supports promotional activities across departments.
